A government of Labour, the SP and the extreme-left Groen Links (Green Left) Party could replace the current center-right government, leaving the Netherlands with a radical-left coalition similar to that of Norway today.

All across Europe, immigrants tend to vote for the Left. The Left is perceived to be the welfare state’s Santa Claus. Most of the immigrants who came to Europe during the past decades were attracted by the generous welfare benefits which Western Europe lavishly bestows on the “underprivileged.”

This explains why cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda and Arnhem succumbed to the Left

The effects of the immigrant vote will soon be visible. The Amsterdam borough of De Baarsjes has already decided to remove a white cross which serves as a memorial to the Second World War. The cross is situated not far from the place where a mosque is being built. According to the authorities “Muslims and Jews” take offense at the cross as a war memorial.

And so it continues, ever growing in influence and changing the face of Europe and the world to reflect Muslim 'sensitivities'.

BELGIAN CITY OF ANTWERP TO PROSECUTE FREE SPEECH EMAIL SENDER

The City of Antwerp, governed by a coalition of Socialists, Liberals, Green and Christian-Democrats, has requested that the Belgian courts prosecute a member of the city council for the Vlaams Belang, the largest party in town and the only opposition. The Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism (CEOOR), a tax-funded government inquisition office that under Belgian law has the competence to prosecute for discrimination and incitement to hatred, has also started a prosecution.

The councillor’s crime? He forwarded an e-mail that has been circulating widely on the internet for weeks.

The councillor wrote:

A Danish website offers apologies to all “offended” Muslims. Here is what it says:
We’re sorry we gave you shelter when war drove you from your home country…
We’re sorry we took you in when others rejected you…
We’re sorry we gave you the opportunity to get a good education…
We’re sorry we gave you food and a home when you had none…
We’re sorry we let you re-unite with your family when your homeland was no longer safe…
We’re sorry we never forced you to work while WE paid all your bills…
We’re sorry we gave you almost FREE rent, phone, internet, car and school for your 10 kids…
We’re sorry we build you Mosques so you could worship your religion in our Christian land…
We’re sorry we never forced you to learn our language after staying 30 years…
We’re sorry for everything else…
And we’re sorry for having to say sorry…!

NO NEED for HOUSE DEBATE on MILITARY MISSION

The latest deployment comes at the request of NATO to have Canada command a brigade of multinational troops. It is a part of the initial committment to rid Afghanistan of the terrorist cadre that has occupied it for so long and to reconstitute that country with a government which is able to survive and provide for its own self-defence. Until they are able to do that, and until the necessary reconstruction is completed, Canada is committed. Calls for a parliamentary debate on this particular deployment are little more than political posturing. Those demanding such a debate, Jack Layton in particular, knew full well what this operation involved because it was announced by the previous government and has been planned for over 6 months.

The media, with their sudden faux shock at the fact that Canadian troops are in a shooting war, is little more than sensationalizing at the expense of their readers. The horror they express from their desks at the fact that troops are being wounded and killed belies the fact that all the information about the type of mission and its inherent risks were laid before them long ago.

The Torch: Whether you like it or not, our presence in Afghanistan is fully justified.

-- best picture went to a movie about racism in Los Angeles;

-- best supporting actor went to the movie about how oil companies murder people; and

-- best supporting actress went to the movie about how pharmaceutical companies murder people.

Curiously missing from Oscar night's festivities was any reference, even in passing, to the 150,000 brave Americans currently risking their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And on behalf of myself, and I suspect many others in Canada, I agree.. Hollywood, has continued to become more irrelevant and is all about self-congratulations. Just check the on-going decline in viewers. Of course, it is no more a waste of TV time, than a host of other dumb shows being foisted on the public by all the networks.. But that's another tirade...
